#7 "Clean Your Oven"

Now that Easter has pased, most of us won't be roasting anything until Autumn, so take a moment to self-clean your oven while the days are still cool. I haven't cleaned my oven in years and so I was excited to see what a clean oven looks like and it looks good!

#12 "Take Plastic Garbage Cans Outside"

My garbage can and diaper pail got a good airing out today. They were rinsed and fumigated with Febreze Air Effects before being returned to the house.
Slowly but surely my house is feeling more and more ready for Spring.

#6 "De-Crumb Your Kitchen"

If you are like me you sweep your floor only when necessary and rarely take the time to really scrub the floor. After a thorough sweeping, I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed my kitchen floor. While I was down there I also scrubbed the oven door, fridge, and wiped down the cabinets. It was a lot of work, but it looks so nice.

#11 "Wipe Down Your Computer Screen"

This was the only one I had the enegry for today. I also wiped down the TV screen, which was surprizingly disgusting, and my mouse. The magazine suggests that you "load a fun wallpaper on the screen", so I put my favorite picture of Trevor on the screen.

12 Ways to Bring On Spring

In this month's issue of Good Housekeeping there is a list of 12 ways to get your house ready for Spring. Today I focused on #8 "De-Funk Your Fabrics". Today I washed all the bedding, pillows, curtains, and rugs in my house. Anything that couldn't go in the washer got Febreezed. It was wonderful to see my shower curtains, clean and hanging outside to dry. I can't wait for Spring!!

We've Moving Up in the World

I always new that we'd be somebody the day we got a couch of our own. Up 'til now Darren and I have always had hand-me-down couches. Gone are the days of wondering what has been done to...or on...our couch. We are the proud owners of a microfiber and leather sectional that is way too big for our little condo. It is so big I can't even get back far enough to get a picture of the whole thing. Despite it being huge, I love it! It is cozy and very chic.

Now that I have the couch of my dreams, all I need is a house big enough for it.
