Now that I am a stay-at-home wife my TV is always on and it is almost always on TLC (channel 38 at my house). A few months ago I asked Darren if I could redecorate our bedroom and what my budget should be. I asked for $1000 just like they get on Trading Spaces, but he said no. We finally agreed on $200 and I went to work. I found adorable bedding at Linens 'n Things, paint on sale at Fred Meyer and lamps on sale at Target. In true Trading Spaces style, here is a break down of my actual expenditures:
- Lumber & Supplies - $109.78
- Fabric & Paint - $124.20
- Lighting & Accessories - $69.05
- Misc. (lunch for family who helped paint) - $41.26
So I went over budget, but that is OK because the room is done and it looks great!

Ahhhhh! I also am obsessed with TLC, although currently we do not have cable so I watch it at my in-laws whenever I am over there. Your room turned out GREAT!!! I can't wait till I am allowed to have a budget to decorate, i guess that will have to wait till we have an income. :) How is your pregnancy going? Give me a call sometime so we can catchup! love ya!
