The Next Available Appointment
About a month ago I called to make an appointment with by doctor for my annual checkup. I was told that I would be put on the waiting list and someone would call me back. Fast forward 5 weeks to yesterday when I got a phone call saying that my name had reached the top of the waiting list and that I could call to schedule an appointment. When I called the lady asked me if I had a preference for date/time and I told her that I'd take the next available appointment. She paused and said, "Looks like our next available is...August 7th and 1:25pm."
What?!?!? August 7th!!! I was shocked. Dr. Channel is one amazingly popular doctor and because she is the best, I will wait until August to see her. Who knows, maybe by then I'll be pregnant.

I think I called in January and I got in just 3 days before you! She's well worth the wait though. Too bad pregnancy is the only trump card! Haha.
I know. Isn't it crazy! I had to wait a while for mine back when Dr. Webb was my doctor, but I don't think it was that long. Maybe you'll get lucky and get to see her before then. ;)
